Overview

Effective January 1, 2026, Colorado real estate brokers must obtain a client’s written informed consent before sharing the client’s confidential information with an employing or supervising broker.

These form allows designated brokers to comply with Colorado license law by clearly informing clients what confidential information may be shared and with whom. See more information here.

These forms are designed to fit most situations for which informed consent is required from a client before sharing such client’s information with a supervising broker. However, these forms may not be appropriate for every circumstance for which informed consent is required. If these forms do not appear appropriate for a given circumstance or brokerage operation, we encourage you to contact the law firm to discuss alternative options.

What the Disclosure Covers

This disclosure explains:

Who the information may be shared with (the broker’s employing or supervising broker)
What information is considered confidential under Colorado law
That confidential information may include pricing flexibility, motivation, financing terms, and other material client information
Who the information may be shared with (the broker’s employing or supervising broker)
That the disclosure is limited to internal brokerage supervision and compliance purposes
That the client’s consent is required before any such information is shared
