In his law practice, John has helped his clients successfully complete wide variety of real estate transactions, from the sale of a portfolio of residential apartment projects to an institutional buyer for more than $400 million, to the acquisition of raw land tracts for retail development. John regularly handles a broad range of commercial real estate transactions and has particular experience with acquisitions, sales, development, financing (borrowing and lending), leasing (restaurant; warehouse; office; retail) and associated corporate matters. In addition, he helps clients with myriad types of business deals, contracts, agreements and disputes, including so-called “business divorces.”
John began his law practice as a litigator in Texas but became increasingly interested in real estate and business-related transactions. He pursued these interests back to graduate school. After earning an MBA, he transitioned his law practice to focus on commercial real estate transactions and other real estate, corporate and business projects and disputes. He is licensed as an attorney in both Colorado and Texas.
John earned his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University, attended Texas Tech University’s School of Law for his law degree and returned to school at Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business where he received his Master of Business Administration. He has been named a Colorado Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine for 2021-2023.
